Triggers

A trigger is the event that causes an automation to run. Each automation has exactly one trigger.

Available triggers

On Application Status Change

The automation fires when an application’s custom application status changes to the selected value, whether by hand, through a batch operation or through another automation.

Example: When the application status changes to “Approved”, send a congratulations email to the applicant.

On Submission Status Change

The automation fires when the submission status changes to the selected value: Submitted (first submission), Revision Requested (the team released fields for revision or activated a form part) or Revised (the applicant submitted the revision).

Example: When an applicant submits a revision, send a notification email to the team.

On Date Reached

The automation fires when a date field of the application is reached, optionally with an offset in days before (negative) or after (positive). The date fields of the form and the internal date fields are available. Fundament checks date triggers once a day, at night; per application, such an automation runs only once.

Example: Send a reminder email 14 days before the date entered in the “Project start” field, or activate the form part for the final report 30 days after the decision date (an internal field).
