Revisions & History

Fundament keeps a complete, permanent record of every change to an application. Nothing is ever overwritten; every version is saved.

What is a revision?

A revision is a snapshot of an application’s content at a specific point in time, including its application status, internal fields and checked checklist items. A new revision is created:

  • When an applicant first submits the application
  • When an applicant submits a revised version or another form part
  • When a team member edits the application and clicks Save Application (content, application status, internal fields, a revision request, activating a form part)
  • When an automation changes the application status or activates a form part

Viewing the history

Open any application and scroll to the History section in the sidebar. The history shows all revisions, application status changes, comments, sent emails, activated form parts and, with the Finances module, finance entries. Show Revisions and Show Only Comments narrow down the view. Clicking a revision shows the application as it was in that version; Switch to Latest Revision returns to the current one.

Revisions are read-only; a past revision cannot be edited. The most recent version is always the current one, and only it can be edited.

Requesting a revision

This page describes what a revision is. For how to reopen a submitted application so the applicant can complete or correct something, see Requesting Changes.
