Voting

Casting a vote

  1. Open an application from the application list.
  2. The Vote section appears in the right side panel.
  3. Select one of the displayed options.

Default vote options

If the organization has no custom vote scale, the following options are available:

OptionMeaning
AbstainNo preference
NoRejected
Tend NoLeaning against
Tend YesLeaning in favor
YesApproved

The organization can have Fundament set up a custom scale; the options displayed may therefore differ (e.g. “Approved / Rejected / Deferred”).

Application assigned to multiple polls

If the application belongs to more than one poll, an additional dropdown appears in the Votes section. Select the correct poll before casting the vote; the poll selected in the application list is preselected.

Optional comment

Below the vote options, an optional Comment on the vote can be added. It is visible only to people with a Member or Owner role.

Additional information for voting

Some polls include Additional information for voting (e.g. a score or written assessment). These fields also appear in the Vote section and can only be filled in after a vote (or an abstention) has been cast.

  • Optional fields can be left blank.
  • Required fields must be filled in; otherwise the vote will not be saved.

Auto-save

The vote is saved automatically as soon as an option is selected or a field is filled in. There is no separate save button. Saving happens after a few seconds, so a short delay is normal; the message “Vote / Comment saved successfully” confirms it.
