User Groups

A user group (in the app: Group) is a named collection of people in the organization. Groups help structure larger teams, for example “Jury 2025”, “Office”, or “Advisory board”.

Managing groups

Owners manage the team’s groups under Organisation → Groups (Add Group, Edit Group, Remove Group). A group has a Name, an optional Description, an optional Type, and any number of People. Groups that contain applicants appear under Applicants → Groups instead; their category (internal, applicant, or mixed) follows automatically from the members.

A person can belong to multiple groups at the same time.

Using groups for polls

When a poll is created, one or more groups are assigned to it; only their members can vote. This makes it easy to separate, for example, jury votes from office votes.

Groups vs. roles

Groups are organizational, roles are permission-based. A person’s role (Owner, Member, User) is the same regardless of which groups they belong to.
