Email Templates
Email templates are reusable email messages that the team can send to applicants manually or via automations.
Creating a template
Go to Settings → Email
The Organisation Email Templates section lists the existing templates (Owner only).
Click Create Email Template
Fill in the template details
- Title and Description: an internal name for the template
- Form: Independent of Form or a specific form; only a form-bound template can use that form’s internal fields as variables
- To / CC / BCC: the recipients, typically
{applicant.email} - Subject: the subject line (it can include variables)
- Body: the email content in rich text, per language
Variables are inserted by typing { and picking the entry from the list.
Save the template
Using a template manually
Open an application and click Send Email in the sidebar. Choose an Email Template, click Continue to see the preview, adjust the text if needed and click Send. The email is stored in the application’s history. The same works for several applications at once as a batch operation.
Using a template in an automation
When creating an automation with a Send Email action, select the template to use. The template variables are filled in automatically at the time the email is sent.
Emails sent from Fundament use the organization’s configured SMTP settings. If none are configured, Fundament’s own mail server is used.
